In the early hours of Monday 3 August 2026, a man concealed himself inside the masjid, waited until the building was empty and took money from the charity boxes. CCTV footage places the incident at approximately 12:45am.
We reported the burglary to West Midlands Police the same day, and we are reviewing our security arrangements.
We are sharing this with other mosques across Birmingham, as whoever is responsible may attempt the same elsewhere.
